Tom Kah Gai

so tonight i tried making my own tom kah gai. it turned out surprisingly well. not as good as our trusty thai restaurant- but i wasn't expecting it to be. i learned what i'd do differently to get it to taste more like we're used to. i also attempted vietnamese spring rolls. pretty much not good. i learned we don't like basil in our spring rolls, or cucumbers. and that peanut sauce you dip them in? mine was alright, but nothing like we wanted. practice makes perfect! :)

I know how to make spring rolls. I can teach you sometime if you want. You want mint with them--that is the distinctive flavor (at least for VNese). Kudos for trying all of these things! ;-)
