last night for fhe we watched a documentary called food, inc. the boys were very intrigued. will and i watched one sunday night called fresh. i'm pretty sure they're both on youtube. highly informative and interesting, to us at least.
right now there is a giant layer of ice covering this whole area that i crunch across as i make my way to the chickens. i miss grass.
and every year about this time i start craving this. i start planning my garden about 3 1/2 months too early.

it's so hard for me to comprehend that winter is happening for everyone i know. i haven't been cold since december 31!
i'm already mourning the loss of a garden this year. so i'll live through you on that one.
i'm dying to watch food inc. although we can only afford to eat crap here so maybe i should wait?
